The brief
To rebrand a luxury business retreat in the French Alps as well as designing and developing a new website that would position the business as a truly unique proposition in the marketplace.
For 15 years Business Retreats has been led by Jeremy Blease along with a team of experienced consultants and instructors who have been giving business leaders and their teams the space and inspiration they’ve needed to reflect, restructure, and revitalise - delivered with a down to earth attitude and coupled with brilliant service.
When Business Retreats appointed Komodo to work with them their brand was outdated and did not reflect where they were or wanted to be as a business. They needed an online shop window to project their USP and Komodo delivered it with the new brand identity inferring head-space, laid back luxury and effective professional development.
From the outset we wanted to convey the Business Retreats philosophy of taking stock of their clients needs, and tailoring their offer to meet these needs hence the website being carefully designed to emphasize the venue itself being the centre-point between the client business and Business Retreats.
The aesthetic has been crafted to give the feeling of space and clam contemplation, a space for revitalisation and as such conventional business metaphors would have been unsuitable. Business Retreats don’t do team building as such. They do team development in incredible places. We wanted the sites design to reflect this.
Komodo developed the site around a customised WordPress installation allowing for the inclusion of a powerful Blogging tool, content management system and a host of plugin functionality making further enhancement of the site easy and cost effective.
